Glad to hear it made such an impression! Dr. Loosen is a good producer from Germany, and there are some good Rieslings from the Finger Lakes that have some residual sugar in them. Make sure to ask the person in the wine store/restaurant about the sweetness level -- German wines especially have some tricky labelling that can be tough to decipher. Hmm, do you know any German speakers who could help translate?

Sugar has always been a friend of mine, so I appreciate this post. I do remember my first Riesling experience -- I loved it so much I saved the label. What other Rieslings do you recommend?
